Trying for my sanity and future

so i finally gave in into my parents idea of going 

to a vocational school and taking  a class that would

get me on my feet with a degree in hand and 

jobs available and make good pay. I enrolled into ACC

and decided that i would rather go with surgical tech than

what my parents where bragging about….

i met with my cousins, and tbh whenever i get to be around

them, i feel like i can be myself, i dont have to lie or 

pretend to be something; i can be open, say what i think

and feel and be understood without having to explain myself. 

my mother said that after i get a job, i can work towards

my dream career.. but.. i seriously think that is quite something. . 

i need to look in my current present, and within the month to month

vision.. because although my family can say at present “yes, it’s okay, it’s alright, you have our support right now“…… that does NOT mean they are going to lend

me support later on.. which is really disgusting and hurting. 

and i think that it’s quite sad that i can always see this coming, no matter

what situation i go through with having to depend on these people.. 

its only for the present moment i have support and then the next the situation

and the whole idea gets manipulated into ‘me-being-selfish’ and whatnot.. which i think is not fair and im sure it happens quite frequently with other children, family, people out there. 

i know that i need to be strong, and that i need to think positive and be able to think clear-headed and be strong leveled, but at times, when i’m around family or friends, i feel like i would rather be alone… there are times where ill be within a group and there are times when i’m most likely being quiet and ill think to myself ‘what’s the point of being here, these guys/gals are having such a great time, but im not enjoying myself, i should probably leave; this group would be having such more fun without me here to ruin the fun when i leave early because of the tight hold  the parents put on me, they probably get annoyed, and sick and tired of having me be the first to bail out.. and i dont really have much to say, it all ends up being the same thing i say when i talk to them..’ 

yes, i have my insecure moments, and i do tend to think silly thoughts that shouldn’t be thought, but those are the moments where i feel that way and think it.. there are those who i will tell personally, although they say the reality is quite different to what i think.. 

i will continue to try and work on my thoughts, and keep a bright outlook for myself and those i surround myself around. even though there hasn’t been much going on, it feels as if there is but it probably is just me thinking and trying to analyze it all.

A message from SADDLEBACK COLLEGE

Cheer on the Gauchos at Part I of the Third Annual Presidents’ Cup Basketball Series between Saddleback College and IVC on Friday, January 21st at 5:30 p.m. at the Saddleback College gym. Admission is free, but $10 donations will be accepted at the door for Coaches vs. Cancer, a national campaign to raise money to fight cancer.  Come and support the Gauchos men’s and women’s basketball teams as they battle to capture their third Presidents’ Cup against the IVC Lasers.  Saddleback College clubs will also compete in a basketball throwing contest and entertainment will be provided by the Saddleback College cheerleaders.

HELL EXPLAINED BY A CHEMISTRY STUDENT

The following is an actual question given on a University of Arizona chemistry mid-term, and an actual answer turned in by a student.

The answer by one student was so ‘profound’ that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.


One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely.. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.


Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.


This gives two possibilities:


1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, ‘It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,’ and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct….. ….leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting ‘Oh my God.’

even if you were to tell me that a certain person used to be a

they act presently. stop trying to make up for what they lack

and letting them have their way with you. what they used to be like

in the past does not say much for what they are now. and because

they have had a certain type of past does not excuse their actions

for present and how they treat others. you should know that. they 

should learn from it knowing the consequences.

when you say this person is worth dying for, the question

is that ‘would they die for you?’ knowing fully well of

the answer, you should think twice right?
